The sculpture by Józef Sękowski stands in front of the Winter Stadium. The figure of an athlete interpenetrates with two solids with geometrically developed surfaces. The artist juxtaposes the statics and symmetry of massive blocks with a dynamic arrangement of the figure of an athlete tilted to the right. Colleagues and students from the Academy of Fine Arts helped the author in the realization of the sculpture.
Outdoor sculptures created in Tychy in the 1970s are the result of cooperation between the Poviat Housing Cooperative Oskard and the Sculpture Department of the Academy of Fine Arts in Krakow.
