Tychy - location
Tychy is one of the largest cities of the Silesian Agglomeration, located in its very centre. Six European capital cities are located within 600-kilometre distance from Tychy: Berlin, Prague, Vienna, Bratislava, Budapest and Warsaw.
The city is located at the intersection of the main communication routes, connecting Warsaw with Vienna and Cracow with Wrocław. National and international routes run through the city along ring roads, with numerous exits into the centre and industrial areas. The proximity of two international airports - in KATOWICE-Pyrzowice and in Kraków-Balice provide air transport.
A line connecting Tychy and the main national and international routes constitutes the important axis of city development. The city also lies in the vicinity of the broad-gauge railway line in Sławków, adjusted to Asian conditions. The line connects the Upper Silesia with Lviv, Russian railways, and with the trade routes of the Far East.
