The city offers not only traditional cultural and artistic institutions, such as museums, art galleries, a cinema or theatre. It goes well beyond the walls of such institutions, inviting you to participate in the events, but also to contribute to them and to create the modern image of the city.

In Tychy, culture is at your fingertips. You find it not only in buildings, but also on the city squares (Baczyńskiego, pod Żyrafą), by the Paprocański Lake (sea shanties), on the streets, in parks and shopping malls (bookcrossing). You find it on the walls (mosaics, sgraffito) and in sculptures (Riedel, Wejchertowie).  It is provided by urban institutions, where history complements the present (Tychy Brewery, Municipal Museum), but also by non-governmental organisations (parties, picnics, fairs), art and hobby associations (exhibitions, open air events, concerts).

Urban route - the Unique NEW Tychy

Along the route you can see the urban concepts of the entire post-war period. The route is made up of 13 pieces of 'urban furniture' and 10 information boards located near the most attractive places in the city, both in cultural and architectural terms.

The route can be explored on foot or on bike.  Information about each facility can be found on the information boards near every 'urban furniture' piece and in the guide prepared by the Municipal Museum in Tychy.

Formation and marking of the urban route cost PLN 869,418, however, PLN 739,005.30 was funded by the EU.  The project is co-financed by the European Union from the European Regional Development Fund within the framework of the Regional Operational Programme of Silesia for 2007-2013.
