The Municipal Park is considered to be a ”green heart” of the city. The numerous foot and cycle paths conveniently situated, provide the inhabitants with the contact with nature right in the city. The Monument of Battle and Work – commonly known as “the Giraffe” – is quite an attraction as a place of outdoor concerts and picnics (Tychy Days or Chocolate Festival). During the winter time the seasonal ice-rink is set here.
