HISTORY
Project: Krzysztof Barysz and Aleksander Nowacki from URBI-Barysz i Partnerzy. The facility was designed in 2002, put into use in 2004.
The characteristic building was already recognized as an "icon" in Tychy during its construction. Built at the highest point on the shores of Lake Paprocańskie. The proportions of the Tychy pyramid are in line with the proportions of the Egyptian Cheops pyramid (using the 1: 5 scale). This was the wish of the investor and owner, Tadeusz Cegliński, a bioenergotherapist. The building houses a hotel, restaurant, conference center, and wellness parlors.
The building's facade is lighter thanks to the alternating rhythm of vertical elements - granite pylons and glass surfaces. The top part of the pyramid is completely glazed.
In the interior, many design elements refer to ancient Egyptian art. Wall paintings were made by Sławomir Żukowski.
Due to its elevated location, the building is well exposed in the landscape of the southern part of the city.
