"Death of a traveling salesman"

The Lomanians live in the trap of a myth - a myth created by the head of the family, Willy, a private salesman who, in a world of seemingly wonderful opportunities, has fallen victim to the propaganda of success. He cannot admit to his relatives that he has failed, that he has achieved nothing, that he has spoiled everything for himself and others. Out of fear and humiliation, he reinvents his life, creates a story in which victory is still possible. The inability to confront his own failure pushes him to further confabulations, and the orders of reality and fabrications mix together to lead to a tragic end.
